Mayport Naval Air Station


Board our motorcoach and head for Mayport Naval Air Station. We will meet our guide about 9:45 AM. This is about a two hour tour. See first hand what our tax dollars are doing for the freedoms we sometime take for granted. From Aircraft Carriers, Guided Missile Cruisers, Destroyers to the fleet training center. We will have the privilege of boarding and touring a ship while on the base. The ship we are trying for is the USS Kennedy. The type of ship we tour depends on what ships are in at the time we do the tour. Lunch is set for 11:30 AM. For the Ladies we will have time to go into the Exchange for about one hour of shopping. With lunch, tour and shopping this your should take about 6 hours.

Tour includes Guide, Escort and Buffet Lunch on base.

Kings Bay Submarine Base

We board our motorcoach at 8:00 AM and head for a very special place. Kings Bay Navy Base. It takes a VERY special person to work on a Submarine. This is a 90,000 acre base. There are not enough words to describe what you will see here. One display of missiles will show you where we stand today as a great nation and one of the super powers. In today's age one missile launched from a sub can destroy 25 cities! We will board one of the nuclear submarines and get a chance to talk to some of the men as we walk through. ( Please note if you have a hard time walking in tight places or bending down to get through the ship it is advised you do NOT take the ship part of the tour). We are trying for the USS Tennessee. The type of submarine we tour will depend on what ships are in at the time we take the tour.
